I installed absolute sound recorder (after similar ones) but in the "recording controls" the option Wave Out Mix(Stereo Mix) is not displayed. this option allows you to record audio from media players, for instance: live streams from radio stations. The input device displayed in the program is Sigma TelAudio which is installed in my pc. I tried to update the driver but nothing. Do I need an audio codec? Do I need to upgrade the sound card?

What Media Players specifically are you trying to record from? Real Player, Windows Media Player?

If you want to record STREAMING audio, you can't go wrong with WM Recorder - it's able to record Windows Media Player files, Real Player files, even a bunch of flash (rtmp, flv) type files as well.
