There are a FEW great mp3 software programs out there, and a few NOT-so good ones.
I just Figured i'd post up a small review of a few of them, namely
Replay Music, and
MP3 Magic, both programs from
Applian TechnologiesBasically,
Replay Music allows you to make MP3s from online radio stations, MySpace, Music Videos, Digital Music Services, or pretty much any online music source. It records them, and breaks them down With the artist, album, song and genre placed into the file for you.
According to Applian's website,
Replay Music is a unique streaming music recorder that captures MP3 files from any streaming source. Every song is saved on your PC as a high quality MP3 file, automatically tagged with the artist, song title, album and genre, and perfectly separated into individual tracks. You can even burn songs directly to CDs, or copy them to your iPod or MP3 Player. Plus, it's incredibly easy to use. What a great way to discover new music!
Anyways, I did purchase this software, and i've got to say it's very VERY much worth it. I use it to record form napster, rhapsody, yahoo music, shoot..even Pandora and Myspace MP3's band's post/host online.
The BEST part is, they let you try it for FREE and record up to 25 tracks to see if it really fits you.
MP3 Magic is more for use after you've got the MP3 Recorded and ready to use. Basically, it makes it amazingly easy for you to split, chop, trim join, and edit MP3 files saved by
Replay Music, or any other program.
It allows you to EASILY eliminate ads, dead air and basically filter out unwanted filler and junk in your recordings,
You can also make segments by time, duration or file size. It's really handy.
So, to sum it up, I highly recomend BOTH programs:
