Basically, I want to record some audio from youtube, myspace. What free software can I download to do this?

Free? Well, check out The Ask & Record Toolbar - it's 100% FREE and the ONLY toolbar I actually use daily. It's NOT loaded with bloatware, and does it's job rather nicely. Check it out, let me know what you think :) Media Guru
